Ibanez 20th Anniversary Jem
SteIn 2007 Steve Vai and Ibanez proudly presented the 20th Anniversary Jem - celebrating 20 years of groundbreaking and innovation together. The Jem features a hand-made clear acrylic resin body with 3D threads of color that swirl through the guitar body. When the tone knob is pulled up, the guitar glows green. The tuner heads are also made of material to match the body, and crown a 5pc Jem Prestige neck with a rosewood board and pearl/abalone tree of life inlay. The body is equipped with DiMarzio Trans Jem pickups. I almost bought this one when it was released in 2007 but it got sold out almost immediately as there was only 500 made available. Lo and behold this one could be seen in a Norwegian music store window (www.opmusikk.no) this summer of 2008. It was new and had no previous owner. I managed to persuade myself that no matter what this one had to be mine. Not having the necassary funds I unfortunatly had to sell two of my beloved axes - The Gibson Les Paul Studio & The Ibanez Jem 77BRMR mirror Steve Vai Jem. The Jem was sold to Steven in Tres Amigos so it's still in the family thank god ! I might buy it back one day... The guitar is really beautiful and weighs a
ton due to its acrylic body. It plays just like a regular Steve Vai Jem
and I will never sell it !
